How to Open and Close Helmet Visor in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Close Henry's helmet visor and survive brutal head trauma, and of course, die less.

Henry takes extra damage if his head gets hit in combat. To avoid getting blood running down the head during combat, wearing a helmet and closing its visor is always recommended in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. But the game does not exactly tell you how to open or close a visor, so I am here to give you this information.

How to Open and Close Henry’s Helmet Visor

Press and hold the up d-pad button on your Xbox or PlayStation controller, and Henry will open or close the visor. For players using keyboard and mouse on PC, press the “Z” key to open or close the helmet visor in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Just be mindful that if you are using a controller, a simple press on the up d-pad button will not trigger the opening or closing of the visor; instead, it will open the map in KCD2.

You cannot lower or raise the helmet visor from the inventory by pressing the desired input, as I mentioned above, which is the only way to give Henry extra headgear protection.

However, you can see Henry’s helmet visor open or closed in the inventory menu.

How to Get a Helmet With a Visor

Kuttenberg blacksmith location to buy visor helmet

Not all helmets come with a visor that opens or closes in KCD2. There are a few that always remain closed, and many that do not even have a visor to begin with.

If you are in the early game, look for enemies that are fully geared up, from head to toe, with a visor helmet. Loot them to get the visor helmet for free in the game.

Another method is to buy a visor helmet, such as the Saxon Bascinet, from a Blacksmith in Kuttenberg. But, for that, you must have at least a few thousand Groschen first.

So, after having the visor helmet, you now know how to open and close helmet visor in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
