What to do with Crimson Desert save files
Once you have located the directory containing the game’s save files, it would be best if you could make a copy of them elsewhere on your computer. This will ensure that in case of a corrupt save data, you have a backup file on your PC that you use to recover the game progression.
Even though Crimson Desert supports cloud saves, having a few versions of manually created save files stored on your PC gives you peace of mind, which comes in handy in case of corrupted save data.
There are many reasons a save file can get corrupted, a few of these are:
- Force-quit the game using ALT+F4.
- Remove the power plug of your computer from the wall.
- Cloud save files discrepancy in case you play the game on multiple devices.
All of these can result in you losing valuable time in making the game progression in Crimson Desert. So, for a sandbox game such as Crimson Desert, it is wise to have a manual save backup. Better to be safe than sorry!
